Yolanda Renee 'Yoyo' Gates

Yolanda Renee Gates, affectionately known as Yoyo, age 53, entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2023 in Fairfield CT. Yolanda was born April 6, 1970 to Diane Pollord and Boyce Gates in Stamford CT. A long-standing resident of Bridgeport, CT, she was a loving person to her family and to all she met. As a waitress, she was a kind, warm, joyful face to all she encountered and left a smile and a laugh wherever she went. Her family said of her "She would give you her last and was the life of the party everywhere she went." Yolanda is predeceased by her parents Diane and Boyce. She is survived by her four children Lamont Woods, Janay Bendolph, Renee Swinton, Gregory Swinton Jr.; her grandchildren Nyasia, Star, Kior, Tianna, Tyshawn, Tonaya, Mya, and Jay; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins who will miss her dearly and honor her memory.
