Willie Mae Boyd

Willie Mae Boyd, age 94, of Stamford, CT. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. Willie Mae was born December 8, 1921 in Camden, South Carolina. She was the youngest child of the late William and Rosa Kelly. She was a member of Heart of God Ministry in Stamford, CT. She was employed as an assembly line worker in various Stamford companies. Willie Mae's caring and loving spirit, words of wisdom and sense of humor filled any room that she entered. She read the newspaper and watched CNN daily. In addition to her parents, Willie Mae was predeceased by her siblings; Almeta Robinson, Thelma, Otis and Marion Kelly; her husband, Postell and her son, Ronald. Left to cherish her memories: daughter, Deborah "Sissy" Boyd of Stamford, CT. and stepdaughter Marie Washington of Florida; grandson, Iverey "Jaz" Lyons " and his wife Evelyn Lyons; two great grandchildren, Elexxus and J.J. Lyons; special nieces: Dorina "Dobie" Hayes and Jackel "Jackie" Robinson as well as a host of extended family and friends. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 9:00am to 10:30am. A Celebration of Willie Mae's Life will proceed at 10:30am to 11:30am at Parkway Assembly of God 260 New Canaan Ave. Norwalk, CT. 06850.
