Wanda Yvette Izquierdo

Wanda Yvette Izquierdo, age 47, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, entered into a peaceful rest Wednesday, September 30th 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Wanda was not only a nurturing and loving mother to her kids, she was also a prideful and giving grandmother. It didn't stop there, if a smile is worth a thousand words, Wanda had a lot to say to friends, family, and co-workers. On Friday, June 14th, 1968 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, Wanda was born to her loving mother Gloria Ortiz and father Guillermo Izquierdo. She later moved to Brooklyn, New York in (enter year here) and was raise alongside Carlos Albertorio, Guillermo Izquierdo, Jose Izquierdo and Diana Aguliar. Aside from the sibling she was raised with, Wanda had brothers and sister living throughout Puerto Rico and US. Wanda met Ron Johnson in Bridgeport, CT where she lived for the remainder of her beautiful life. She was married for 18 year and had three endearing children during the course of her marriage. In 1988, Wanda had her first and only son Christopher Anthony Johnson. A couple years later she had her eldest daughter Latrice Marie Johnson followed by her baby Kiara Yvette Johnson 5 years later. In 2009, her first grandbaby, Shai Whitehurst was born and Wanda became "Lala". Shai was followed by Prince Paul Whitehurst in 2011. Wanda's slew of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends will hold a candle in their hearts for her. Her love for them is eternal and even though she is not here with us physically, her spirit and gorgeous smile lives on in pictures and memories.
