Walden Samson "Duke" Anderson July 25, 1938 - December 15, 2020 Mr. Walden Samson "Duke" Anderson, Sr., 82, of Bridgeport passed away December 15, 2020, as a result of a long battle with cancer. His nephew and conservator Jackie Wilson was by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. Duke was born in Bridgeport Connecticut on July 25, 1938, to the late Adams W. and Fannie Whitaker Anderson. Duke was matriculated throughout the Bridgeport, CT Public School System. Duke entered into the United States Army, upon being honorably discharged from the service, Duke married Blanche Bailey and together they had four children. He was a resident of the Laurelwood's Apartments. Duke was the host of many neighborhood summer picnics and parties. Duke was your neighborhood, father, uncle, cousin, friend, and confidant when you needed someone to listen. He loved deeply and appreciated family and friends. Besides his parents Walden was predeceased by: wife, Blanche; son, Thomas; daughter, Jacklyn; siblings, William and Fonnie Anderson. Duke is survived by: son, Walden "Fatty" Anderson, Jr. (Darlene); daughter, Kimberly Anderson; son, Nigel Bember; Other survivors left to mourn his passing include cousin, Connie Martin Anderson; nephew and conservator Jackie Wilson; Godchildren, Margaret Timmons, Tangela Williams; close friend, Dani McLeod; a host grandchildren; great-grandchildren as well as, a host of other loving relatives and friends.
