Vivienne Fitzgerald "Vivian" age 88, of Milford, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 21st, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side. Vivienne met her husband Raymond Alfred Fitzgerald, during WWII. She was married in Wales while her husband was still in the US Army. They initially arrived in Massachusetts in 1946 and later moved to Connecticut, where they settled and helped raised foster babies of Woodfield in the 1960's. Vivian was a sales manager for Alexander's Department Store for twenty-one years. After her retirement, Vivian and her husband Raymond owned the News Den on New Haven Ave. in Milford for three years. She also volunteered for the American Red Cross and at the Second Chance Shop in Milford. Vivian was a member of the British Friendship Club for fifty years and a member of St. Peter's Episcopalian Church in Milford. Vivienne was born September 30th, 1926 in Newport, Wales, the beloved daughter of the late Reginald Boot & Olive Kathleen Boot maiden Morgan. Besides her parents Vivienne is predeceased by her husband Raymond Alfred Fitzgerald, and sister Jill Boot. Vivian is survived by: daughter, Elizabeth & son-in-law Richard Soderberg of West Haven. CT.; son Paul & daughter-in-law Kim Fitzgerald of Greenville, SC.; two grandchildren, Mandy Wyatt, Erin Hancock; three great grandchildren, Autumn Wyatt, Landen Wyatt, Lyla Hancock of SC.; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish her memory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in honor of Vivienne Fitzgerald at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 71 River St., Milford, on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00am.
