Theresa Lena Harrigan

Theresa Lena Harrigan, age 85, of Bridgeport, entered into heavenly rest Friday, August 10th, 2012 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at Cambridge Manor York floor, also to the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent's Medical Center Six floor south. Theresa was born on January 27th, 1927 in Fairfield, Connecticut. Daughter of the late Gloria & Donald Cataldo, she was the youngest of eight. Upon reaching the gates of heaven Theresa will be greeted by her late husband George Harrigan, her three loving sons Anthony (Bam Bam), Michael, George Harrigan and her eight siblings. Theresa is survived by: six children from oldest to youngest, Joanna Cataldo, Donald (Dino) & daughter-in-law Mary, Gloria, Grace, Margaret Harrigan of Bridgeport, Theresa Harrigan of Waterbury, twenty grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister-in-law Josephine Cataldo. Theresa gained a countless number of extended family members through her kind hearted nature. She was known to cook up a large pot of spaghetti and invite all the neighborhood kids over for dinner. If you knew Theresa then you know that her number one activity of leisure was relaxing in the sun. Even on a cloudy day she would pull up a chair and catch the slightest ray of sunshine peeking through the gray. Now from her new home in heaven she will shine down on us on our cloudiest days and provide us warmth through our cherished memories of her.
