Theodore Roosevelt Wilson Sr., affectionately known as “Main,” age 88, of Milford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus, in New Haven,

Connecticut.Theodore was born on April 21, 1937, in Millers Ferry, Alabama, to the late Hattie and Johnny Wilson. He was raised in Alabama and, in 1957, relocated to Connecticut, where he built a life rooted in family, hard work, and love.Theodore was a devoted family man whose warmth, outgoing personality, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A gifted chef, cooking was not just his profession but his passion. Known proudly as the grill master, Theodore took great joy in preparing meals that brought people together. He worked as a head chef and was also a restaurant owner, earning respect for both his culinary talent and strong work ethic.He loved the blues, had a fondness for Western culture, and was known for his friendly nature and generous heart. Family meant everything to him, and his home was always a place of laughter, good food, and togetherness.

Theodore was one of many siblings and is survived by his brothers and sisters: Jack, Woodrow, Sam, Lottie, Rose, Elnora, Flora, Sylvia,Amy, Katie, and Pearlie May. He was predeceased by his beloved spouse, Bernice Wilson.Theodore is survived by his children: Joanne, Theodore Jr., Patricia, Paul, Charles, Alexander, and his additional daughter, Christina Grant. He also leaves behind a loving legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will continue to cherish his memory and carry forward his love of family and tradition.
