Sylvia Bernice Day, age 89, passed into eternal grace Thursday, April 9th, 2020 at Tranquility Hospice surrounded by love. Born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 20,1931, Sylvia was the beloved daughter of George Day and Evelyn Alexander and the proud mother of eight adored children. She worked for many years as a housekeeper in the tourist industry and was known as a kind, loving and generous soul who enjoyed shopping and dressing up. Sylvia rejoins her three children, Mercilyn Bent, Olive Spencer and Nadine Spencer who predeceased as well as her siblings: Linda, Sydney, Loydie and Pepe. Sylvia is survived by her sons and daughters; Desmond Bent of Jamaica, Lorna Chinque, Sandra Spencer, Sonia Spencer, Michael Spencer all of Bridgeport, CT. Sylvia Bernice Day will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched, her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her loving family.
