Susana Vera

Susana Vera affectionately known as Susi, age 82, of Bridgeport, CT passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021 at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut. On June 4, 1938 Susana was welcomed into the world by her beloved parents Emilio and Inez Garcia in Chinchina, Colombia. Susana was raised in a large household she was the fourth of elleven children. In 1962 at the age of 24, Susana fell in love and married Aldemar Vera. With him they made their home in Medellin Colombia where they had their only daughter, Alejandra. Looking for a better future, they moved to the United States in 1983. Susana worked in Caldor from 1988 to 1999. When the store closed, she retired to take care of her first grandson, DeAndre Smith. Alejandra gave her two more grandchildren, Raechel and Robinson, with her husband, Robinson Charles. Susana was always a woman of few words and a lot of affection. Everyone will remember her smile, her kindness and generosity. Susana has three siblings in Colombia, nephews and cousins. Several godchildren, both in Colombia and in the United States and her lasting friendships. She will always be remembered and loved by her beloved Aldemar, her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and family, who are in Colombia and the United States. Susana's love was always unconditional. En 1962 a los 24 aos, Susana se enamora y se casa con Aldemar Vera. Con l hicieron su hogar en Medelln Colombia donde tuvieron a su &uacutenica hija, Alejandra. Buscando un futuro mejor, se mudaron a los Estados Unidos en 1983. Susana trabaj en Caldor de 1988 a 1999. Cuando la tienda cerr, se retir para cuidar a su primer nieto, DeAndre Smith. Alejandra le dio dos nietos ms, Raechel y Robinson, con su esposo, Robinson Charles. Susana siempre fue una mujer de pocas palabras y mucho cario. Todos recordarn su sonrisa, su amabilidad y generosidad. Susana tiene tres hermanos en Colombia, sobrinos y primos. Varios ahijados, tanto en Colombia como en Estados Unidos y sus amistades duraderas. Siempre ser recordada y amada por su amado Aldemar, su hija, yerno, nietos y familia, quienes se encuentran en Colombia y Estados Unidos. El amor de Susana siempre fue incondicional. Descansa siempre en paz con el Seor, nuestra amada Susi.
