Sonia Ivette Marrero

Sonia Ivette Marrero, age 55, of Bridgeport, CT passed into eternal peace on Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. Sonia was born was born Wednesday, December 4th, 1957 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico the adored youngest child born to Carmen Otero Diaz and Ishmael Diaz. Outgoing with a carefree smile, Sonia shared her love of life with all around her, especially the disabled children with whom she worked. Tough and loving, she found joy in making a home for her family, cooking their favorite foods and cleaning the house while always having the time to enjoy a good cup of coffee and a nice chat at the kitchen table. Devoted wife, adoring mother, beloved grandmother, Sonia' unique and beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Sonia is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Victor Marrero, and her beloved children, daughter, Sonia Monique Cruz, son Mislael Cruz and her daughter-in-law Betsy Cuevas. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Carmen Otero Diaz and older siblings, Edwin and Miram. Sonia also leaves behind her adored granddaughter, Lisa Ivette Cruz and a host of extended family and friends in whose memory she shall live on. In death Sonia is reunited with her beloved father, Ishmael Diaz and oldest brother, Rafael Suares.
