Sixto Nuez -Aracena, age 96 of Waterbury, beloved husband to Melania Nuez eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Regal Care, Waterbury, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Sixto was born March 8, 1923 in Janey Janico, Dominican Republic, the beloved son of the late Teofilo & Avelin Nuez. Sixto married Melania, for over 66 years. Sixto worked hard on a farm to provide for his family. He had a strong faith in God, Sixto always prayed "The Our Father" when his day began and before he went to sleep. Sixto was a loving and dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Besides his parents Sixto was predeceased by: 3 siblings, Rafael Nuez, Rosa Nuez and Nini Nuez. In addition to his wife, Sixto is survived by his: 3 sons, Narciso Mato, Felix Nuez & daughter-in-law Edilia Espinal, Jose Nuez & daughter-in-law Ylsi Nuez; 3 daughters, Nydia Nunez & son-in-law Virjilio Santana, Ana Perez & son-in-law Virjilio Perez, and Dulce Nunez; raised as a son Isidro; 2 sisters, Tonila Nuez, Flora Nuez; 2 brothers, Jesus Maria Nuez, Manuel Nuez; a host of grandchildren, extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. Friends may greet the family Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at Ministerio Jesucristo Rey de Reyes, 487 Meadow St. Waterbury, CT. Interment will be privately held.
