Shalymar Herrera

Shalymar Herrera, age 18 of Bridgeport, CT., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Shalymar was born December 21, 1999 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the beloved daughter of Jesus & Liza Herrera. Shalymar was a kind, intelligent, and loving young woman. She proudly served as a Civil Air Patrol and as a member of the Connecticut Stratford Eagles during which, she achieved the rank Second Lieutenant. Upon graduation from high school she joined the U.S. Army Reserve as a medical logistics specialist. Shalymar never failed to fulfill her goals in life. She was extremely caring and loved animals. She planned on attending college in August to accomplish her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Shalymar loved flowers, makeup, and her favorite color was orange. In addition to her parents, Shalymar is survived by her brother, Jelian Herrera, and a host of extended family and friends to cherish her memory.
