Pantoja: Sara Pantoja, age 79, of West Haven, entered into the Lord's eternal embrace Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Sara was born September 2nd, 1933 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico one of seventeen children born to Justina and Genaro Lopez. A devoted wife for 57 years to Eladio Pantoja, Sara was a homemaker, loving mother of seven, Sunday school teacher, harmonica player, poet and songwriter, and maker of the perfect cup of old style hot chocolate, grated off the bar and stirred to perfection, just like her. Sara was a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Bridgeport, CT. She was a dedicated Christian who always spread the word of the Lord and is now resting in the arms of her and Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Sara was full of spirit, joy and humor. She was the walking bible and the family counselor. Her advice will be forever cherished. Sara reunites with her previously deceased husband, Eladio, and children, Robert Andrew and Oscar Pantoja, her grandson, Anthony Santiago and great-granddaughter, Isabella Burgos. She is survived by her beloved and adoring children, Elliot and wife Sherri, William, Evelyn, Bernice, Benjamin and wife Maria, and a beloved daughter in Christ, Anilda Pantoja and sons in Christ Milton Pettway and Jose Luis Burgos ; her siblings, Ruth Lopez, Doris Williams, and Belen Ruiz; her grandchildren, Eunice Rivera and her husband Eladio, Emily Xavier, Edward Pantoja, Santa Rosa Pantoja, Elliot Pantoja, Jr., Juan Burgos and wife Stacy, Jessica Pettway, Christina Bethune and husband Louis, Netisha Pantoja, Camilia Pantoja, William Pantoja, Jr. and a host of great grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren, her favorite nieces Martha Carasquillo, Raquel Rivera, nephew Marco Lopez and a host of family members in whose joyous laughter Sara will always be found.
