Salvador Areguin Cardenas age 98, the widower of the late Leonor Silva Villa, passed into heavenly rest on Friday, October 20, 2023, at St Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Salvador was born on August 1, 1925 in Michoacan, Mexico, the beloved son of Alejo Areguin & Rosa Cardenas. Salvador was affectionately called “Chava” by his close friends and family. Salvador was raised in a loving household with 8 siblings. He was a thoughtful kind son, he often helped on the family farm to provide food for his family.
Salvador and his wife Leonor Silva Villa raised 7 children . He continued to provide for his family as a farmer. Later in life Salvador relocated in 2018 to the US to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
He was always happy no matter the circumstance, even until his last days he was positive and smiling. His family will forever remember his happy personality, positivity, and laughter. Salvador’s family will cherish the memories of him forever.
Salvador was survived by his children Francisco, Jose, Maria, Santiago, Rosa, Carmen, Eduardo and his siblings; Ramon, Irene, Maria, Rosa, and Angelina.
Friends may greet the family Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Community Funeral Chapels 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. 06604 Tel:203-334-9999. A Mass of Christian Burial will proceed at 11:00am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church 25 Sherman St. Bridgeport, CT. 06608. Interment will follow to Mt. Grove Cemetery 2675 North Ave. Bridgeport, CT. 06604.
