Ruben Perez Alamo, age 84, passed into eternal rest with the Lord on August 22, 2024 in Bridgeport, CT, surrounded by loved ones. Ruben was born on June 28, 1940, in Junco, Puerto Rico, to the late Daniel Perez and Juana Alamo.
Ruben was a devoted husband to Mercedes "Aida" Mendez Perez, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Their love and commitment to each other were an inspiration to all who knew them.
He was a proud and loving father to his six children: Abel (Annette) Perez, Olga (Angel) Hernandez, Javier (Vivian) Perez, Esmeraly Perez, Virginia Perez, and Marisol (Damary) Perez. His legacy continues through his 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Jose Manuel, Luis Alberto, Aida, Inis, Jose Ariel, Myriam, Mildred, and Abel, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Margarita.
Ruben was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and deep love for his family. He was a man of faith, and his presence brought warmth and joy to those around him. Ruben's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
