Roy E. Barnes Roy E. Barnes, age 78 of Stratford, went into a peaceful rest, Saturday, April 24th, 2010 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. A Connecticut resident for 40 years, Roy had passion for classic jazz. He was also an amature photographer. Roy was born in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Joseph N. Barnes & Mable Clark. Survived by Vivene Barnes and their 3 children; Anthony, Ainsworth Fitzroy, and Carolyn J. Barnes, 10 grandchildren: Brittney Barnes, Brandon Barnes, Johnathan Barnes, Tatiana Barnes, Thomas Barnes, Tyler Barnes, Taylor Simpson, Malik Moore, Mya Moore, Nahija Barnes and 3 great grandchildren: Shaler, Celcio, and Vernon all of Bridgeport. Roy is also survived by his brothers Kenneth Barnes and Winston Barnes of London. A memorial service in honor of Roy Barnes will be held Tuesday, May 11th, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Calvary Seventh-day Adventist Church, 827 Trumbull Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, under the supervision of the Senior Pastor AK Morris.
