Rosa Maria Marin

Rosa Maria Marin passed into heavenly rest at the age of 78 on September 17, 2023, at her residence in Bridgeport, CT.

Rosa Maria Marin was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on September 24, 1944, to the late Angela Maria Marquez and Macario Marquez. Rosa was raised in a big household with 9 siblings.

Rosa relocated to Bridgeport, CT at age 15 to find better opportunities in life. Rosa was a loving soul, she cared for everyone she encountered. She always had a smile on her face that was genuine. She was a true caregiver at heart, always catering to everyone’s needs. A homemaker who babysat countless numbers of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and family members throughout the years in her own little oasis she called “Lafayette Street”, where all 12 apartments there were filled with family. She married her soulmate Neftali Marin at a young age and together they built a loving family with four kids that would embrace her and love her dearly. She was an awesome cook and could feed all her family and anyone that walked in the door. She loved merengue music, dancing, singing out loud and tagging along to any party her son Eddie would DJ, so she didn’t miss a beat on the dance floor. If you ever saw her walking downtown with her husband hand in hand you would always catch her with matching nails, lipstick, and jewelry. Rosa’s family will miss her very much and honor her memory forever.

Rosa is predeceased by her husband Neftali Marin; Son, Henry Marin; Mother, Angela Marquez; Father, Macario Marquez ;Brothers, Jose A. Marquez, Ramon Marquez Rosa, Ladislao Marquez; Sisters, Maria E. Marquez, Luz Maria Marquez, Carmen E. Marquez, Justiniana Flores.

Survived by: Sons, Orlando Marin, Edwuardo Marin; Daughter, Leticia Roady; Brothers, Jose M. Marquez, Angel L. Marquez; Grandchildren, Stephany Marin, Henry Marin Jr., Allan Marin, Evan Marin, Marco Marin, Edwuardo Marin Jr. (EJ).
