Ronald William 'Yogi' Boyd

Ronald William Boyd "Yogi", age 63 formerly of Stamford and Bridgeport, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He loved God and his family. His Barry White voice graced various choirs. Ron enjoyed music especially gospel jazz, rhythm and blues and soul. Ronald was born on Thursday, June 24, 1952 in Norwalk, CT. Beloved son of Postell Boyd & Willie Mae Boyd. Ronald was predeceased by his father and brother, Postell Jr. Left to cherish his memory: mother, Willie Mae Boyd; son, Iverey Lyons "Jaz" & daughter-in-law, Evelyn Lyons; two grandchildren Elexxus Lyons, and J.J. Lyons, all of Ansonia, CT; two sisters, Deborah "Sissy" Boyd of Stamford, CT. and Marie Washington of FL; special cousins, Dorina "Dobie" Haynes of VA., Jackel "Jackie" Robinson of Trumbull, CT; as well as a host of extended family and friends. Viewing will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Home Going Services will proceed at 11:00 am to 1:00pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Rev. David Miller, 1100 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow to Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave Norwalk CT.
