Roberto 'Indio' Cosme

Roberto Cosme, age 68, lifelong resident of Bridgeport, entered into peaceful rest Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by the love of his family. On August 8th 1952 Sixto Cosme & Carmen Vazquez welcomed their son Roberto, he was affectionately known as Indio. Roberto was raised as a catholic in St. Mary's Church and was a graduate of Harding High School, he also was a certified cook. Roberto was strict and over protective father of five. He loved his family and taught them the beauty of the latin culture. Indio was known for his distinctive voice and his sharp attire, he enjoyed his salsa music and socializing with family and friends. Besides his parents Roberto was predeceased by: two siblings, Awilda Gonzalez, Angel Pagan; two grandchildren Adrian Miles and Lynise Vazquez. Roberto is survived by: four daughters, Marissa Rivera Artis & son-in-law Damon Artis of Ansonia, Rebecca Cosme of Milford, Camila Cosme of Bridgeport, Inez Cosme Vazquez & son-in-law Jose Vazquez of Bridgeport; son, Roberto Sixto Cosme of Bridgeport; two sisters, Annie Cosme of Puerto Rico, Irma Cosme of Bridgeport; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.
