Robert Lee 'Bobby' Flowers

Robert "Bobby" Lee Flowers, age 79 of Manchester, CT., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Manchester Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Bobby was born March 21, 1938 in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the beloved son of the late James Flowers & Rosa Lee (Heath) Flowers. Bobby was a hard working, loyal, and dedicated family man. A veteran of the US Army, Bobby proudly served his country during the Korean War. Bobby's love for his family was limitless; he never failed to reach out and check up on those who mattered most to him. He had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor. Bobby will be missed deeply by those who had the honor of knowing him. Along with his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his siblings; Jazel W. Brown Sr., James E. Flowers, Sally Flowers, and Selby Flowers. Bobby is survived by: wife, Bertheen Wright-Flowers; daughter, Kimberly Flowers of Manchester, CT.; sister, Doris Reid of Arizona; sister, Shirley Dingle of Arizona; four grandchildren, Shaniqua Henry, Randall Lawrence, Sharelle Lawrence, and Roshawn Lawrence; great-grandson, Isaiah Henry; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10am-11am. A Home Going Service to honor Bobby will commence at 11am-12pm. Interment will be held privately.
