Ricardo 'Ricky' James

James: Ricardo "Ricky" James, age 55, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 30th, 2013. Ricky was born in Kingston, Jamaica on Tuesday, January 7th, 1958, the beloved only son of Lloyd and Olive James. A free-spirited young man, Ricky grew up in Raetown, Jamaica where his generous and outgoing nature ensured he made lifelong friends. Ricky immigrated to the United States on May 2nd, 1987, landing first in Texas, then moving to Connecticut and Brooklyn, New York where he could be closer to family and friends and commute between NY and Philadelphia, PA where he worked as a professional chef at The Jerk Hut on South St, then eventually settling down and making a permanent home in Connecticut. Always a "sharp dressed man", Ricky's friends knew him as a generous, soft spoken man who loved to make people happy often entertaining in his home and cooking delicious meals for all that were gathered there. Ricky never met a stranger, his easy smile and loving embrace will be missed by all who knew him. Ricky is survived by his loving sisters; Jennifer, Debbie and Janet James; his beloved son, Zane James; nephews, Andre, Nicholas and Kareem; niece, Yanna; his companion, Gossette and a host of extended family and friends in whose hearts he will always live on. In death Ricky reunites with his adored parents, Olive and Lloyd James.
