Renee 'Tubby' Newton

Renee "Tubby" Newton, age 51, of Bridgeport, entered into peaceful rest Monday, August 6th, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital, with her 32 year loving companion Ahab Testman by her side. Renee was very caring and giving to others even if she would slight herself. Renee was employed as a state correctional officer in her early years of her life. Tubby was born in Bridgeport, December 11, 1960. Daughter of the late Edith (Ward) & Willie Newton, Renee is survived by: three brothers Jay, Lloyd, Billy, two sisters, Elizabeth, Deborah, five stepchildren, Candiaha, Tatianna, Hila, Rakema, Abdul Kareem Testman, nine grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends (who she loved dearly). Tubby is reunited with her predecease parents, one sister Cynthia Hunt, and two brothers Mark and Willie Newton Jr. Funeral Service will be held privately.
