Ramona Ojeda Rivera

Ramona Ojeda Rivera, age 88, of Bridgeport, passed into heavenly rest Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Ramona was born on September 3, 1934 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico the beloved daughter of the late Cruz Ojeda & Tomasa Rivera. Ramona was affectionately known as Moncha. Ramona was one of 9 siblings raised in the Catholic faith. At a young age she was taught to maintain the household, with her Spanish music in the background she'd cooked, cleaned, and help with the gardening. Ramona brought these traditions from Puerto Rico and passed them on to her children and generations. She loved family gatherings, she also enjoyed dancing, word puzzles and the excitement of scratch offs. Ramona is survived by: 3 children, Carlos, Fabiola, Marisol Caballero of Bridgeport, CT; youngest brother, Daniel Ojeda; grandchildren, Patricia, Melvin, Caesare, Leondra, Tiara, Shiquinda, ShieAnn, Nila, Sarah, Jalissa; great grandchildren, Zaire, Neariah, Ileana, Felix Jr., Jordan, Jenna, Devin, Baby Melvin, Catelina, Nahvir, Baby Ricky; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish her memory.
