Ramon 'Juni' Torres

Ramon Torres, age 64, of Bridgeport passed into peaceful rest on July 1, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Ramon was born on August 7, 1955 in Yauco, Puerto Rico the son of the late Gloria Ruiz. He was affectionately known as Juni. He attended public schools and migrated from Puerto Rico in 1980. Ramon was kind and caring, he was a person that you can depend on; if you needed him, he was there. In his later years he spent most of his time with family, he helped raise his nephew, Adrian Rivera and niece, Linayah Aquino, while their moms were hard at work. Ramon especially enjoyed helping his elderly aunt Carmen Ruiz. They kept each other company and often shopped together. Ramon was her stew chef preparing homemade sofrito and big cooking projects like pasteles was their specialty. The meals and kitchen will never be the same. Ramon is survived by: two brothers; sisters, Angela Camacho, Sandralee Arrega; a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
