Paul “Paulie” DeLeon

Paul “Paulie” DeLeon, 65, of Middletown, CT, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 28, 1959, Paulie was a true original — a no-nonsense tough guy with a heart of gold. Those who knew him knew he was fiercely loyal, endlessly generous, and always ready to lend a hand or defend those he loved. Life wasn’t always easy for Paulie, but he met every challenge head-on with resilience, grit, and a sharp sense of humor.
Paulie loved good food, lively Spanish music, and the warmth of good company. His infectious laugh could light up a room and will be dearly missed.
He lived his life on his own terms, but always with deep compassion. Paulie was proud of his roots and held tight to the values that mattered most to him: loyalty, love, and faith. He was a man of strong spiritual conviction and rarely missed a Sunday at church.
Paulie is survived by his two sons, who are a strong reflection of the man he was- Kindhearted, loving and strong. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though his path in life was not always traditional, Paulie’s legacy is one of love, strength, and perseverance. His presence was larger than life, and he leaves behind a void that cannot be filled.
A private service will be held by the family to celebrate his life.
