Nancy 'Flaca' Cruz Velez

Nancy Cruz Velez, age 56, of Bridgeport, CT passed away peacefully on February 8, 2021 with her loving family by her side at her home in Bridgeport. On February 5, 1965 Nancy was welcomed into the world by her beloved parents Angela Velez Cueto & Oswaldo Cruz Sanchez in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in Puerta de Piedra, Puerto Rico. Nancy was affectionately known as "Flaca." She dedicated her life to be a caregiver. Nancy enjoyed dancing, cooking and cleaning. In her spare time she would like to go shopping, attend car shows and travel. Nancy is survived by: mother, Angela Velez-Cueto; step father, Carlos Marcano; brothers Carlos, Alex, Joel and Alexis; sisters Mildred, Cindy and Mayra; children, Jonathan, Carla, Rose Marie, Christian, Erika and Rebecca; grandchildren, Kailanie, Arielle, Krystal, Mariah, Jaiden, Jayden, Liana, Rafael, Imanie, Juliany, Amelia, Asiyah and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
