Monserrate Santiago "Monsin" age 71 of New Haven, entered into peaceful rest Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his home with his loving wife Ruth Santiago of 38 years by his side. Monsin had a great sense of humor, he was very entertaining. He loved to cook, dance and was an avid Patriots fan. Monserrate was born Thursday, October 21, 1943 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Juana Reyes & Monserrate Santiago Sr. Besides parents Monsin was pre-deceased by daughter Wanda Iglesias. Monserrate is survived by: spouse, Ruth Santiago; five children, Krystal Santiago, Joseph Santiago, Javier Santiago, Yvonne Santiago, Billy Santiago; grandchildren, Nikki Iglesias, Angel Iglesias, Destiny Iglesias; great grandchild Jowell Iglesias and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory, Friends may greet the family Wednesday, April 22, 2015 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. 06604 Tel: (203)334-9999.
