Monserrate "Rate" Bruno, age 72, of Springfield, MA, entered into heavenly rest Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Monserrate was born on Monday, March 16, 1942 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and second child to the late Miguel Luis Acevedo and Eugenia Figueroa. Monserrate is survived by her children; Emily Medina, Christopher Colon, Ruth Pitre, Carmen Jimenez, Pedro Bruno and Rosa Bruno. Monserrate is also survived by her siblings; Miguel Acevedo and Luis Figueroa. Monserrate leaves to cherish her memories to her twenty-one grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. In death, Monserrate will be reunited with her husband Pedro Bruno, children; Anthony Colon and Maria Bruno, siblings; Andrea Valentine and Carmen Figueroa. Monserrate will be greatly missed by a host of extended family and friends.
