Milagros Flores

Maria Milagros Flores, age 80 of Bridgeport, entered into heavenly rest Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Bridgeport hospital with her loving family by her side. Milagros was a brave warrior that battled with cancer for two years with no complaints. Milagros was widowed by the late Raul Flores after 52 years of marriage. A strong mother of six, Milagros helped raised her grandchildren and instill her catholic beliefs of unity and peace. She was kindhearted and soft spoken. Milagros often enjoyed family gatherings, a good game of Bingo and the occasional trip to the casinos. Her tender smile and her warm embrace will never be forgotten. Milagros was born Sunday, December 30, 1934 the oldest of six, to the late Arturo Ferrer & Rafaela Torres in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. Milagros is predeceased by parents, spouse, brother, Alturo Ferrer and sister, Hilda Ferrer. Milagros leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Iris (Juan Hernandez), Milagros E. Velez, Linda Flores (Sophy Gonzalez), Hilda (Ernesto Segui); two sons, Raul (Maria Flores), Saul Flores (Maritza Javier); nineteen grand children; ten great grandchildren all of Bridgeport; and a host of extended family and friends.
