Michael Figueroa "Figie"

Miguel Angel Figueroa "Figie", age 66, of Bridgeport, lovingly known as Michael, passed away on April 2, 2024, in Bridgeport.

Narcisco and Crusita Figueroa of Caguas, Puerto Rico, were blessed with a son on December 19, 1957 Miguel Angel Figueroa in Bridgeport, CT. He was one of nine cherished children.

In his youth, Miguel fiercely protected his family and started working on cars at age 17. He found joy in his work as a mechanic, particularly in building motors, and while listening to Latin music. His passion for helping others was evident in his selfless nature. Known for his patience, kindness, and attentive ear, Miguel touched many lives with his humble demeanor. A devoted father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, and friend, Miguel's generosity knew no bounds. His spirit of camaraderie endeared him to all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Miguel is survived by: 8 siblings, Jose & sister-in-law Kasnira Figueroa, Luz “Lucy” & Thomas Russell, Rafael Figueroa, Carmen Delia Figueroa, David Figueroa, Richard & Carmen Figueroa, Norma & Anthony Tozzi, Marine & Fabio Davis; former spouse, Carmen Figueroa; 2 daughters, Jennifer & son-in-law Timothy Lester, Johanna Figueroa; 3 grandchildren, Timothy Lester Jr; Isabel Lester, Lucas Lester; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06604. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 PM at Saint Mary’s Church, 25 Sherman St., Bridgeport, Connecticut. Interment will proceed to Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
