Mary Louise Childs

Mary Louise Childs, age 64 of Bridgeport, entered into heavenly rest Friday, June 8th, 2012 in Stratford with her loving family by her side Originally from Windber, Pennsylvania Mary has resided in Bridgeport since the age of 4. She attended Harding High School and was a parishioner of St. James Church in Stratford. As a young lady Mary was determined to become independent, at age 16 she was on her own, and worked at HL Greens. Mary also was a dedicated employee for thirty years at New Colony Diner. She enjoyed long walks, and many card games, gin and rummy 500. Mary was a great provider, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mary Louise Childs was born September 29th, 1947 the daughter of the late Sophie & William David McPherson. Mary was the youngest of two, predeceased by brother William McPherson. Mary is survived by: daughter Dawn Childs of West Haven, son Leroy Childs of Shelton, son Michael Childs of Bridgeport, two grandchildren Philip, Avangeline Delgado, great grandson Fabian Acevedo Jr., nephew Charles McPherson and a host of friends that will cherish her sweet memories.
