Mario Renee Nieves

Mario Renee Nieves, age 54 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 6, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital. Mario was a caring man who adored his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He will be remembered for his hands-on skills, whether it be painting or construction work along with his signature whistling. Mario was born August 15, 1962 in Isabela, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Juan Nieves & surviving, Herodicta Santiago. Mario is predeceased by: brothers, Osvaldo Nieves, Miguel Nieves and Juan Nieves Jr. Mario is also survived by : fianc, Shelly Puffen & her parents, Joan & Anselino Massonett of Bridgeport; son, Rasheen Perez of Suffield; son, Mario Perez of Lebanon; son, Jimmy & daughter-in-law Shayna Galindez of BPT; daughter, Erika & son-in-law Donovan Powell of Bridgeport; stepson, Brian Puffen; stepdaughter, Jennifer Puffen; stepson, Steven Puffen; brothers, Noel Nieves, Harry Nieves; sister, Ivette Nieves; 12 grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
