Marina 'Margarita' Roman

Marina Roman "Margarita" age 71, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. A tenacious mother of six, Margarita enjoyed listening to music, dancing, cooking at family functions. She was often referred to as "Mami House". Marina was the second of six born to the late Demetrio Vega and Rosa Maria Vazquez in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Beside her parents she is predeceased by: daughter, Margie E. Digiralamo; two brothers, Demetrio & sister-in-law Ana Vega, and Carmelo Vazquez. Margarita is survived by: her loving companion of 25 years Heriberto Martinez; three daughters, Carmen Jolott of BPT., CT., Maria & son-in-law Edwin Tavarez of BPT., CT., Jackee Brooks of Naugatuck, CT.; two sons, LA Roman of Boston, MA., John Roman of BPT., CT.; sister, Irma Vazquez; two brothers, Jose & sister-in-law Janet Diaz, Hector Vazquez; two Godchildren, Nilsa Greene, Jimmy Carter; fourteen grandchildren, a host of extended family and friends that will cherish Margarita's memory.
