Maria Viera age 79, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. Maria was dedicated to her family, strong will mother of seven she helped raise her grandchildren. She enjoy giving people nicknames, Maria had a great sense of humor. Maria was born July 13, 1935 in San Juan, Puerto Rico of the late Alfonzo Viera & Flora Vasquez. Maria was the oldest of five. Maria is survived by: three sons, Miguel & daughter-in-law Lourdes Campos, Julio Campos, Francisco Figueroa; four daughters, Maritza Campos, Jacqueline Figueroa, Awilda Figueroa, Janette DeJesus; four siblings, Carmen Iris Lopez, Rosario Ortiz, Alicia Viera, Rafael Viera; twenty-seven grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and extended family and friends that will cherish Maria's memories.
