With deep sorrow, the family of María Virginia Rosario, affectionately known as “Viña”, announces her passing on December 9, 2025, at the age of 86, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Born on November 25, 1939, in Morovis, Puerto Rico, to Rafael Rosario, Viña was raised with strong values, love, and unwavering faith. She grew up alongside her beloved sister, Santa Rosario, before making the courageous decision to relocate to Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1967, where she built her life, her home, and her enduring legacy.

Viña was a woman of pure heart, known for her generosity, kindness, and the radiant smile she carried everywhere she went. Strong-willed, determined, and a true fighter, she always aimed to overcome challenges and achieve her goals. Above all, she was a devoted woman of the Lord, whose faith guided every step of her life. She loved attending church, worshiping, and living out her deep belief in God.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. A loving and dedicated mother, she poured her heart into raising her children. She found fulfillment in cooking, caring for her home, and ensuring that her family was always surrounded by warmth, love, and delicious meals. Her talent in the kitchen, her nurturing spirit, and her unwavering dedication will forever be cherished.

Viña was blessed with a beautiful and large family of 15 children:Felix Manuel Cabrera, Maria Ester Cabrera, Ángel Manuel Cabrera (predeceased), María Elsa De Jesús, Ángel Gilberto De Jesús, Luz De Jesús, Carmen Rosario, José García, Luis Daniel García, Rosemary García, Magaly García, and Eliazar Crespo, along with her other beloved children who complete her cherished family.

She was preceded in death by her son Ángel Manuel Cabrera and her father Rafael Rosario. She is survived by 14 loving children, along with numerous grandchildren, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
