Maria Ortiz Maria Ortiz, age 64, of Bridgeport, entered into heavenly rest Monday, April 30th, 2012 in St. Vincent's Hospital with her loving son Peter Perez by her side. Maria had a kind and caring spirit within her. She felt other peoples' burden and needs. She was a peace maker and passionate in helping others. Maria will be remembered for her kindness, and strong willpower to take care of her seven year old granddaughter Jaylese, even as her physical body was giving up and no longer able to continue. Her words before she passed away were "Jesus help me please." Maria battled cancer for three years. She fought the good fight of faith. 1Timothy 6:12 Maria was born July 7th 1947 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Agueda & Juan Arguinzoni. Maria is survived by her four children from eldest to youngest: Juan Luis Rosado of Florida, Angie Rivera of Bridgeport, Sherly Perez of Florida, Peter Perez of Bridgeport. Maria is also survived by Eleven grandchildren: Lydia Rosado, Melinda, MaryElis, Luis Escobar, Brianna, Bryan Rivera, Jacob Avilis, Jaylese Perez, Alize, Javin, Mariah Santiago. Maria is now reunited with predeceased daughter Marilyn Escobar and will be deeply missed. Friends may greet the family Friday, May 4th, 2012 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will be held privately.
