Maria Emelia Guzman-Perez

Maria Emilia Guzman Perez, age 89, of Bridgeport, passed peacefully on April 8, 2023 at North Bridge Healthcare in Bridgeport. Maria was born on October 19, 1933 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico the beloved daughter of the late Emilio Guzman Ocasio and Maria Perez Solis. She was raised in Puerto Rico where she learned to cook and bake. Later relocated to Connecticut where she raised her 3 children. Maria worked for many years as an inspector at Emson Research, Inc. She was an independent, strong, strong stern mother, Maria molded her children to be all they are today. Besides her parents Maria is predeceased by her daughter Nelly Hernandez Guzman. Maria is survived by: son, Jorge Luis Hernandez Guzman; daughter, Luz Selenia Hernandez Guzman; 4 siblings; 6 grandchildren, Nelida Hernandez, Jessica Manzanares, Ada Pizarro, Janelly Manzanares, Jorge Hernandez Jr., and Annie Hernandez; 5 great grandchildren, Nelisha Brown, Gabriel Pizarro, Jorge Trevino Jr., Ashlee Pizarro, Kevin Whittingham; 1 great great grandson, Jovan Charleston; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
