Manuel Gerardo Maisincho Fajardo

Manuel Gerardo Maisincho Fajardo, age 65, passed into peaceful rest on the 4th of January, 2023, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. Born on December 18, 1957 in Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador to his loving parents Vicente Maisincho and Maria Fajardo, Manuel was one of five children. He and his siblings Rosa, Miguel, Luis, and Julio were raised in St. Teresita de Monay in Cuenca. Manuel married the love of his life and wife of 41 years, Maria Rosario Taday Chalco, at the age of 20 and together they raised their six children in a happy, loving home. Manuel relocated his family to the United States on May 20, 2000, seeking a better life for them all. They arrived in Peekskill, NY, and then moved to Bridgeport, CT a few months later. Affectionately known as "Manny", he was a stonemason by trade in Fairfield County. His coworkers at his last job described him as running a "stone guillotine". Manny was a dedicated, hardworking man. He loved soccer, volleyball, and fishing, but most importantly, he was a devoted, loving father who always provided for his family and helped those most in need in his community. Manny is predeceased by his parents, Vicente Maisincho and Maria Fajardo. He is survived by his wife, Maria Rosario; their children: Maria, Martha, Pablo, Luis, Fernanda, and Daniela Maisincho; his siblings: Miguel Maisincho, Rosa Maisincho, Luis Tepan, and Julio Maisincho; his daughters-in-law Jenny Urea and Maria Pia; his son-in-law Angel Aguaiza; and a host of grandchildren: Paul Aguaiza, Estefania Lituma, Chris Mejias, Cathy Mejias, Carla Maisincho, Josue Maisincho, Danna Maisincho, Mara Jos Aguaiza, Patricio Aguaiza. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Black Rock Church, located at 3685 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield CT 06825.
