Lydia Rivera, age 37, of Bridgeport, CT., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. In her early years Lydia was raised in Stratford and attended Johnson Academy, Wooster Middle School, graduated from Platt Tech as a hairdresser. Lydia was musically inspired by her parents at a very young age, she played the clarinet. She had a kind, caring and generous heart, and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Lydia was born on April 10, 1979 in Bridgeport, the beloved daughter of Lydia (Coln) & Carlos Guzman. Lydia was predeceased by her brother Gabriel Valentino. Lydia is survived by: parents, Lydia & Carlos Guzman; brother, Lance Valentino; step-sister Yeliska Guzman; Godson, David Gonzalez Jr.; best friend, Jennifer Reyes; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
