Lutancia Eznat

March 23, 1941 — March 15, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lutancia Eznat, affectionately known as Tance, Tancia, or Madan Baton, who peacefully departed this life at the age of 83 on March 15, 2025, in Deerfield Beach, Florida.


Born on March 23, 1941, in L’Asile, Haiti, Lutancia was the beloved daughter of Saul Saint Felix and Clercine Desir. She is survived by her siblings Geno St. Felix and Dieulimene Maurisen. Lutancia’s journey brought her to Port-au-Prince in her 20s, where she met her loving husband, Maneston Eznat. Though he preceded her in death, their life together was blessed with the birth of two children, Edithe and Roosevelt Eznat.


Lutancia was known for her warm and kind spirit, which endeared her to everyone she met. Whether young or old, people were drawn to her friendly personality and the light she brought into their lives. Her love for others was evident in everything she did, and her presence will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.


For many years, Lutancia worked for Suburban at the Bridgeport Train Station, where she was a familiar and cherished figure. Her work ethic, coupled with her ever-positive attitude, made her a beloved colleague and friend.


Lutancia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted children, Edithe Eznat and Roosevelt Eznat; daughter-in-law, Farrah Eznat, her grandsons, Logan, Lucas, Theo.  Nephews: Prosper Walter, Prenes Jean Blan, Jean Labastille, Ralph Ovide Lormeus, Wilfrid Saint Felix, Wilbert Saint Felix.  Nieces: Marie Nikette Lormeus Ormeus, Marie Ange Lormeus, Marie Therese Jean Blan, Bernadette Saint Felix, Bethanie Antoine.


While Lutancia’s physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.


A celebration of Lutancia's life will be held On March 29th, 2025, at
