Luisa Diaz Torres

Luisa Diaz Torres, age 105, of Bridgeport, CT passed away on August 21, 2021 in Bridgeport, CT. On February 13, 1916 Luisa was welcomed into the world by her beloved parents Nicolas Diaz and Norberta Torres in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She came from a big family Luisa was the oldest out of 36 children. Luisa was raised Catholic. With 36 siblings Luisa learned to take care and place family first. Luisa worked as a housekeeper for many years. She was kind and helpful, she would often visit the sick, and fed them. Luisa was very involved in church, The Daughters of Mary, she was reserved, responsible and thoughtful. Luisa is predeceased by: parents Nicolas Diaz, Norberta Torres; husband of 35 years Pedro Alvira. She is survived by: daughter Carmen Alvira; son Angel L. Alvira; 12 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
