Luis Matos, age 82, of Bridgeport, entered into heavenly rest Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. Luis was loving, caring and strong-willed. He enjoyed his cars and music. Luis was born June 12, 1931 in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Felix Matos and Antonia Saldaa. Luis is survived by his longtime companion, Dionisia Correa along with his children; Luis Matos, Norberto Saldaa, Miguel A. Saldaa, Ricardo Matos, Jorge Matos and Iliana Matos. Luis is also survived by his siblings; Elena Saldaa, Joba Saldaa, Manuel Saldaa, Imina Saldaa, Pedro Saldaa, and Williams Saldaa. Luis also leaves to cherish his memories to his grandchildren; Jennifer J. Matos, Chiomara Matos, Juan Matos, Contino McCullough, Sean Smith, Joshua Hernandez and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. In death, Luis will be reunited with his son Ramon Matos. Luis will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
