Louis 'Lou' Jean-Pierre

Louis Nubert Jean-Pierre, 65, was born on September 17, 1957, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Andrea and Julien Jean-Pierre. Sadly, Louis passed away in Stamford Hospital on February 19th, 2023, in the presence of his loving wife. He left Haiti at the age of 11 with his younger brothers John and Emmanuel Jean-Pierre to join their mother in Stamford, Connecticut. Louis graduated from West Hill High School, received his bachelor's at Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster MA, obtained a master's degree in education at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, and his Post master's degree at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. He eventually returned to West Hill High School as a teacher. After leaving West Hill High School, he continued teaching at Stamford High and remained in the field for 35 years. During his career, he taught Math and English and touched the lives of thousands of students. He was the founder of Shiloh SDA church in Connecticut and was very active in other Haitian churches. He attended Bridgeport Tabernacle SDA Church and served as an Elder and a Pathfinder leader. Louis is survived by his wife Jeannette Jean-Pierre; Daughters Shaunielle Jean-Pierre and Valery Saint-Amand; Sons Nicholas and Youry Saint; Brothers, John and Emmanuel Jean-Pierre, a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins from the Jean-Pierre, Lauture, Boussicot, and Paulemon families and many friends. Although he is gone, he leaves behind beautiful memories for those who knew and loved him. Friends may greet the family Monday, February 27, 2023 from 10:30am to 11:00pm at Bridgeport Tabernacle Seventh Day Adventist Church. A memorial service will follow at Bridgeport Tabernacle Seventh Day Adventist Church at 11:00am. Interment will follow to Mount Grove Cemetery 2675 North Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604.
