Lottie Ree Roberts age 77 of Queens, NY. entered into peaceful rest Monday, June 8, 2015 in Queens Hospital. Lottie was the loving widow of Larry Roberts for twenty-five years and a caring mother of ten. Lottie was originally from Alabama later moved to Connecticut in the 80's and retired in Queens, New York. Lottie worked for the New York City District Attorneys' Office for over ten years. A resilient fighter Lottie worked hard as a home health aid for many years, she was kindhearted and a dedicated friend. Born in McCalla, Alabama Lottie was the beloved daughter of the late Jimmie & Adella Barnett. Besides her parents Lottie is predeceased by: spouse, Larry Roberts; son, Leroy Davis; brother, Jimmie Johnson. Lottie leaves to cherish her memory: four sons, Matthew Davis of Bridgeport, CT., Clarence Shelton of NYC., Carvin Barnett of Birmingham, AL., John & daughter-in-law Angela Davis of Bridgeport, CT.; four daughters, Delma & son-in-law Joseph Young of Bridgeport, CT., Diane & son-in-law Daniel Woodly of Queens, NY., Sharon Watson of Birmingham, AL., Kathy Carr of Birmingham, AL., LaTonya Roberts of New Haven, CT.; brother, Julius "Jack" Johnson of Ms.; sister, Ann "Bay" & son-in-law Anthony "Rusty" Mitchell of Birmingham, AL.; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Friends may greet the family Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A Home Going Celebration in Lottie's honor will proceed at 12:00pm to 1:00pm officiated by Rev. Johnny Gamble from Friendship Baptist Church. Interment will be held privately.
