Lorie Kathleen Ferreira

Lorie Kathleen Ferreira, aged 33, of Bridgeport, CT, passed away on February 11, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Born on February 18, 1990, in Eustis, Florida, she was the beloved daughter of Lorie Sansonetti and the late Abel Ferreira. Raised by her cherished stepfather Thomas Sansonetti, Lorie was a loving sister to Mary Jean Acevedo and David Ferreira.

Lorie’s vibrant personality was adored by all, characterized by her bubbly nature and unwavering generosity. Lorie's love for animals was evident, and she was always willing to go the extra mile for those around her.

Relocating to Connecticut at the age of 12, Lorie found joy in being a devoted mother to her two children, Kaidyn Ferreira and Miracle Ferreira, who were the center of her world. Her passion for swimming, music, visiting parks with her children, spending time with shelter animals, and dancing exemplified her zest for life. Lorie worked as a dedicated dog groomer and harbored dreams of becoming a nurse, reflecting her compassionate and caring nature.

In her passing, Lorie touched the lives of many as an organ donor, bringing hope and renewed life to seven grateful recipients. She is preceded in death by her father Abel and grandfather Kenneth Foley, and fondly remembered by her mother Lorie Sansonetti, her stepfather Thomas Sansonetti, her children, siblings, and all who were fortunate to know her. Though she is no longer with us physically, Lorie's spirit continues to shine brightly through the lives she has touched and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind.
