Linel Anella Young

Linel Anella Young, age 62 of Stratford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Linel was born October 23, 1956 in Kingston, Jamaica; the beloved daughter of the late Telbert Young & Edna Richards. Linel was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She worked for many years as a housekeeping supervisor for the Marriott in Trumbull; there she built strong, lasting connections with her coworkers. Linel was a very selfless woman who always put her family first. She enjoyed watching cricket and spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren who adored her. Linel will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing her. Linel is survived by: two sons: Garth Barnes, Oneil Brown; four daughters: Filicia Betton, Teisha Brown, Tavara Robinson, Tina Davis; two brothers: Ashley Young, Cleven Young; three sisters: Dorna Green, Veronica Walker, Ermine Ellis; twelve grandsons; three granddaughters; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 9:00am - 10:00am at Brooklawn SDA Church, 250 Brooklawn Ave., Bridgeport, CT. 06604. Services will begin from 10:00am - 11:00am. Interment will be held in Jamaica.
