Lester Lewis, age 81, of Bridgeport entered into peaceful rest, Monday, July 30th, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital. Lester was a member of the East End Baptist Church and a choir director for numerous churches in the area. Lester worked as an Emergency Room Technician for over thirty years in Norwalk Hospital. Lester was born June 19th, 1931 in Harlem, Georgia, son of the late Martha & Eugene Lewis. Lester is survived by: two sons Dominic Lee Lewis of NY., Shamar Freeman Bey (Ronnie Lewis) of BPT., daughter Celestine Lewis of GA., sister Sarah Grant of BPT., brother Russell Jones of GA., ten grandchildren Troy, Kenneth, Ryan, Marques, Veronica, Tashea, Keren, Meeyah, Jucenia Lewis, Ezekiel Shamar Bey, six great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. A memorial service will be held in Lester's honor, Friday, August 3rd, 2012 at 1:00pm in East End Baptist Church, 548 Central Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06607. Interment will be held privately.
