Julio "Papito" Santiago Julio "Papito" Santiago, age 49, of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 24th ,2010, in U CONN Hospital. Papito was born October 7, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Geronimo Santiago & surviving mother Julia Santiago. Julio was the 1st of 4 siblings. Surviving siblings; Janette Santiago of Bridgeport, Frank Santiago of Bridgeport and Edward & wife Shirley Santiago of Worcester, MA. Julio was survived by his loving wife Abigail Santiago of Bridgeport. He is also survived by 6 children; Venita Santiago, Julio Santiago Jr., Monica Ropiza, Taisha Ropiza & husband Carlos Hernandez, Joey Ropiza, and Robert & Jessica Ropiza, 7 grandchildren; Leilani Perez, Lydiana Santiago, Carlos Hernandez, Jeremia Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez, Remy Ropiza, and Mia Hernandez, all from Bridgeport. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Community Funeral Chapels. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. George's Church, 443 Park Ave., BPT. Interment will proceed at Maple Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends may meet the family Monday, March 1, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave, BPT.
