Juan Ortega

Juan D. Ortega, age 84, of Bridgeport, Connecticut passed away on September 3, 2022 in Milford, Connecticut. On February 4, 1938 Juan was welcomed into the world by his beloved parents Domingo Ortega and Paula Ortega in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Juan was affectionately known as "Juango." He had a great and rare opportunity at a young age when he became a jockey. Juan loved sports, especially boxing and horse races. He was loving, caring, generous and there for everybody. Juan was the life of the party; he was always joking around. Juan is predeceased by his: parents; siblings and nephew. He is survived by his: son, Richard Ortega; daughter, Stephanie Ortega Barr; grandchildren, Richard Ortega Jr., Stephanie Ortega, Amber Barr, Andrew Barr, Ashleigh Barr; 7 great grandchildren; nieces Nancy Ortega, Gloria Rivera, Evangelina Nieves; nephews Enrique Ortega, Sixto Nieves and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
