Juan 'John' Burgos

Juan Burgos, age 66 of Bridgeport, CT entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, March 20th, 2013, his loving family by his side. Juan was born on January 28th, 1947 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico the adored third child born to Herman Burgos Sr. and Josephina Rodriguez Burgos. Juan moved to Bridgeport over sixty years ago and worked for many years as an auto body technician throughout the area. Juan was outspoken, quick with a joke and loved to dance. He was generous almost to a fault and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Juan loved his family, he is survived by seven children: Rosemarie & son-in-law Edwin Torres of OK, Christine & son-in-law Samuel Sanchez of NC, Eunice & son-in-law Eladio Rivera Jr. of CT, Jeanie Burgos of NC, Emily Xavier of CA, Kenneth Burgos of CT, and Juan & daughter-in-law Stacy Bogle Burgos Jr. of CT. He is also survived by his long term companion, Evelyn Pantoja. Juan was the third of eleven children and will be greatly missed by siblings: Herman Jr.& sister-in-law Luisa Burgos, Noelia & brother-in-law Francisco Sotomayor, Carmen Archilla, Alicia Berrios, Elsa Burgos and Michael Burgos all of CT. In death Juan is reunited with his beloved parents, Herman Sr. and Josephina, his siblings, Louie, Ricky, and Ralphie and his cherished granddaughter, Isabella. Additionally Juan leaves behind his favorite nephew, Denardo Berrios, fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of extended family and friends in whose memory he will live on. Juan's family would also like to thank Collette Sangupta for her extraordinary nursing services and for the care and compassion she showed Juan's entire family in this most trying of times. Thank you, Collette, you went above and beyond, you are truly a God-sent angel in our eyes.
